The Energy of Right Human Relations - Ray 2 of Love-Wisdom

While reading the A at P document downloaded from a post of Duane Carpenter (so much gratitude to him), I suddenly intuitively sensed one of the best definitions of Love-Wisdom (Second Ray Energy) given by Djwal Khul to his disciples, I have read so far.

This definition the essence of Ray 5 mathematical formula (or symbol) of Synthesis we had derived last year. This is because the energy of Love-Wisdom (more accurately Wisdom) is highly synthetic energy.

(Several examples of duality and conflicts quoted need to be worked out in detail)

Few sentences from the document:

It may be of interest here if one of the Tibetan’s definitions of Wisdom be given. For His purposes of high-lighting His exact meaning, He starts with a short explanation of intuition, then follows one on Love and ends with that of Wisdom. It is as follows:

“In connection with the “seed-groups”, which are fusing and blending in humanity at this time and which – in their totality constitute the nucleus of the fifth kingdom, the distinguishing quality is the ability to respond intuitionally to higher impression and to present the mind (with which humanity was endowed in an earlier process) to the light of the intuition and hence achieve illumination. This intuition is a blend of the two divine qualities of buddhi-manas or intuitive spiritual understanding (involving interpretation and identification) and the higher abstract mind, which is essentially the power to comprehend that, which is not concrete or tangible but which is, in reality, an innate recognition of the lower aspects of the divine Plan for man, but – as the seed-groups grow and develop – the narrowness of this partial view will become increasingly apparent. God’s Plan is all- embracing and His purposes inclusive of all forms of life and their relationships. This quality of the seed-groups is described in current esoteric literature as love-wisdom (the heart-nature and the higher mind) and this is descriptive of the future groups. It is NOT love, however, as usually understood or wisdom as men generally defines it.

“The love is free of emotion and of the astralism, which is distinctive of the solar plexus life, which most people live. Love, esoterically and in reality, is perceptive understanding, the ability to recognise that, which has produced an existing situation and a consequent freedom from criticism. It involves that beneficent silence, which carries healing in its wings and which is only expressive when the inhibition-aspect of silence is absent and the man no longer has to still his lower nature and quiet the voices of his own ideas in order to understand and achieve identification with that, which MUST be loved.

Wisdom is the sublimation of the intellect but this involves the sublimation of the higher, as well as of the lower aspects of the mind. It is a blend of intuition, spiritual perception, cooperation with the Plan and spontaneous intellectual appreciation of that, which is contacted and all this is fused and blended with and by love, which I have defined above, plus that esoteric sense, which must be unfolded before the second initiation can be taken. I call this especially to your attention. Seek to understand and perceive the subtle evidences of the esoteric sense and then define it and explain its processes and evidences, invoking as you do so the higher sensibilities.”

From the above it will be seen that these ray-relationships, which produce this synthesis energy of Right Human Relations are also those of the “five specialised energies”, but synthesised by the wisdom energy. Hence, as has been stated before, the need for five masters in DK’s ashramic work. They mot only aid in receiving these specialised energies, but also aid in the planning for their proper blending and distribution in the work of the ashram and its cooperative station as liaison between the other ashrams, which at this time are working particularly with humanity and “those active and conscious disciples, who are working in the world of outer affairs” and who are found in the advanced echelons of the NGWS.

Can you follow the beauty of this concept and comprehend the nature of this in silent depth of true understanding ?

More on Synthesis

Again we shall contemplate on a few more words on the wisdom of synthesis (navigating the "narrow razor-edged Path" between duality or the "noble middle path" of Buddha) from our beloved DK. However I wish to emphasize that Djwal Khul and Alice Bailey demonstrated practical (not just theoretically) synthesis. For instance Alice Bailey being born in the west was open enough to acknowledge and bring forth teachings from a far wiser eastern/oriental master Djwal Khul. She could both surrender herself (a difficult quality to develop for the western concrete mind with its overemphasis on freedom) and at the same time was careful enough to guard herself against foolish blind devotion (a vice of oriental masses). Another disciple who demonstrated practical synthesis was Blavatsky (synthesis of religions). She established Theosophical society headquarters in the west and soon shifted it to the east although she worked and died for the cause of theosophy in the west. One mo...

Third Initiation : Disciple and Mental Body

We studied initiations until the second in our ealier posts. Today let us look at the third especially from the perspective of a disciple (rather than the ray as well as the external ceremonial aspect conferred during the wesak full moon which we will cover later). The third initiation marks the culmination of complete mastery of the mental (in the same way that the earlier two initiations resulted into the control of physical and astral planes). It is a distinct initiation, which marks a definite transition out of the form consciousness (lower personality of mental, emotional(astral) and physical planes), and the initiate can function at will on the plane of the intuition though soul (ego). Between the second and third initiation work is struggling with and mastering the energies of the mental world. What kind of work ? DK sums that for us (details found in TWM book) as -  "A. Work on the mental plane produces realisation of duality. The disciple seeks to blend and merge the...

Aphorisms as seed-thoughts

Subsequent to our discussion on seed-thoughts, another great example of seed-thouht I think is an aphorism. The complete agni-yoga series of books by Roerichs are aphorisms of Ethical living (and give Ray 1 flavour of fiery will to the yoga of synthesis). Similarly the temple aphorisms of Francia A. La Due give a Ray 5 flavour of occult science to the works of H.P. Blavatsky and William Q. Judge. We quote those aphorims (as seed-thoughts) from temple teachings of Master H. (with his image):  "Days come and days go, but if thou watchest thou shalt see: THE LOAD thou hast laid on the heart of a friend will God transfer to thine own heart; heavy as it presses on the heart of thy friend, heavier will it press on thine own heart in the days to come. THE STONE thou hast cast from the path of the blind will smite the adder lying in wait for thee. THE WEIGHT thou hast clamped on the feet of another will drag thine own feet into Hadean desolation. THE SHELTER thou hast given the wayfa...
